Hon. Justice Ralph Ochan Named New PSC Chairperson
Hon. Justice Ralph\r\nOchan was on March 31, 2014 named the new chairperson of Public Service\r\nCommission (PSC) by the parliamentary appointment’s committee pending the President’s\r\napproval. Hon. Justice Ochan if approved replaces long-serving Prof. Patrick\r\nMuzaale.

Other members of the\r\ncommission will be Mr. Johnson Bitarabeho, Mr. Francis Oryang Lagony, Ms. Jamilah\r\nKamulegeya, Mr. Benigna Mukiibi, Dr. Laban Kirya, Ms. Hilda Musubira and Ms. Ida\r\nKagoya Tarinyeba.

Hon. Justice Ochan\r\njoined Foreign Affairs service in 1974, where he served in various capacities\r\nincluding Chief of Protocol in the 1980s.
\r\n\r\n
Hon. Justice Ochan was\r\na Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between 1998 and 2001.
\r\n\r\n
He was appointed as\r\nPermanent Secretary in the Ministry of Gender and Labour Ministry in 2002 –\r\n2006.
\r\n\r\n
He was appointed as the\r\nSecretary to the Judiciary in 2007 a position he held until 2008 when he was appointed\r\nto the High Court bench.
\r\n\r\n
Hon. Justice Ochan\r\nretired from the bench in 2013.
